Starting issues
I'm having problems after my '91 is hot and I have to restart it. When it's cold it turns on fine but after being driven and i turn it off then try starting it again it starts to act like the battery is going dead and doesn't want to crank up. I'll try restarting it a couple of times by turning the key to Off position then putting it to On position and after i hear the fuel pump(im guessing) turn on, i crank it and it starts. Im thinking maybe its the starter or some kind of hot start relay.. Any ideas gentlemen?
when you say acts like the battery is going dead, i assume you mean slow crank, which if accompanied only by hot temperatures would be heat soak of the starter. replacing the starter would be the first choice, as heat soak gets worse as the starter becomes older, but you can also try some header wrap. Also check your timing and ignition/fuel components and make sure that you're not running lean, as lean condition will cause extreme exhaust heat.
