Default 5-lug conversion

i have heard of people doing the 5-lug conversion on fox body 'stangs. I was wondering if there was a kit or how y'all did it. Also, how much did it cost? I have searched on this some, i didn't find quite what i was looking for, as far as costs and all the parts needed. i hope this is in the correct section, moderators feel free to move

There are a couple of ways to do it but www.50resto.com has a cheap kit and that would be the easiest way to go IMO.

does this conversion make anything on the car less 'reliable' or does it not make a difference??

??????The only differnce is that you can put 5 lug wheels on a fox instead of being stuck with just a few 4lug options.

the only problem is when its time to do the brakes, if you need rotors you have to order them. and the rear axles are moved out a little with the swap, so certain applications need the rear fenderwell rolled. other than that its simple and cheap.

i found a guy that did a write up on doing the conversion, he said you needed half of an axle from 2 vehicles, like an aerostar and a ranger or something like that, ill see if i can find the link

I would just check out jegs for 200 bucks a piece you can get front and rear 5 lug conversion kit. Ford Racing also has one but it's quite a bit more money.
