Where did the torque go on my 331?
Changed the bbk ssi intake to a holley systemax intake.
I used to have a strong pull from about 3200- 4200 peak torque at 326 rear wheel. Now after the switch the car just isn't as agressive.
331 stroker
Afr 185
Shorty headers
egr delete
aluminum drive shaft
24lbs injectors (I think)
255 lph intank pump
bbk fuel lines (stock type)
Should I tune it or just change it back?
What is the best torque producing Intake?
Thanks
G

not the most ideal cam for a stroker, what that ride really needs is the proper cam, upgraded valvetrain to match, 30 lb inj, with proper maf, a good tune and then it should make more than the 326 302 territory power that it made previously.

I agree with mjr46's opinion. The only thought I may have involves the cam; it should be fine. Your power curve just shifted up in the rpm range by about 500 rpm.
A good friend of mine installed a fresh modded motor & he said it "felt weaker via his seat of the pants meter" than the "old" motor. We got it on a dyno & the motor made 50 more rwhp & rwtq. Why did it feel "not as strong" to him? The torque improved in a very linear fashion; no more abrupt "push in the seat" at a higher rpm..... Yeah, it did a much better burnout on initial launch on the street; but other than that he felt it just wasn't an improvement.... I wouldn't panick just quite yet IMHO....
