where can i find a cheap header install kit for my mac headers?? i'm looking for copper gaskets, and also new bolts (16) to go along with them. summitracing wasn't a big help, i found some Mr. Gasket copper gaskets for $25 or $30, but no bolts. somebody gimme some help :P i'd like to get these ordered quick, fast, and in a hurry!!

my mac headers came with copper gaskets, i just reused the old bolts.

 

i've installed these on my 87 already, i took them off to install them on my 88

the copper gaskets crush when you torque them, so i'm not going to reuse those gaskets. i'm looking for new gaskets/new bolts. help!

 

ok, i'm sure SOMEbody has purchased just the gaskets and bolts somewhere... anybody know??

 

ya they come seperate.no big deal get the 3/8 bolts and a set of gaskets

 

When I bought my heads and headers, I talked to the tech line at Summit. They know more than the regular sales guys. They suggested an ARP head bolt kit, which they said came with the header bolts. But I'm sure they sell just header bolts. My gaskets came with my headers, so I don't know about those, but they should be able to get you squared away with something. The only thing is that it takes forever to get through to them and I don't think they're there on weekends. I'd say to give them a call and let them know which heads and headers you got and see what they can find for you.

 

You can get the 3/8 mini bolts that you need to install the mac headers from www.mustangsunlimited.com also you can can get the copper gaskets there too but i just used the fel-pro gaskets on my car and havent had a leak yet

 

Well, if the copper ones you had on your other car came from MAC originally just contact them and see if you can get another set. I had a set of MACs that I recently sold, but they came with copper gaskets and new bolts. See if MAC will hook you up.
