Default Wiring 5.0 to Run in Mud Truck

Ok I will be putting a 5.0 in a ford ranger within the next week or two. I got a book about the wiring, but I was wondering am I going to need anything more than an engine harness and a computer? I know I will need some of the headlight harness for the alternator plug (unless I could wire the alternator up separately, direct to battery). Other than that I would just need to add a power to the coil, fuel pump, and push button for the start to power the starting solenoid? Any help or tips are greatly appreciated.

That sounds about right. If you still have the ranger harness double check and see if the alt plugs are not the same.

I'll check that out on the ranger harness. Thanks
