I need to wire the VSS to the EEC and dont know which wired to splice into for the signal. The instructions I am using are for an 88 and i have an 86 which doesnt have the orange/yellow or the drk green/white I cant find a detailed picture that shows where the wires are located on the plug. And Ideas?

You need Dark Green/White and Black/White, as those are the listed colors I'm showing in my data.

I havn't been underneath my car in some time, but I don't recall ANY of my foxes having any electrical connector on the VSS. As far as I remember, its just the cable. I could be wrong though, as I said, its been nearly a year since I've seen the underside of my car.

the 86 does have a vss and the plug is located under the radio. It is a 8 wire plug and does contain the wires that were needed. I spliced into them however I am still having idle and low rpm problems.

You're not splicing into the VSS wiring, you're splicing into the Cruise Control Speed Amplifier wiring.

so then what was the plug for? it was the same one as in the picture.
If I dont wire it to that, then where should I wire it too?
