i have a really hard time getting into reverse sometimes, like it just doesnt want to go , i try going from 1st to reverse , from 4 to reverse and sometimes ill get a grinding noise or sometime it just wont go. what could be the problem?

 

whens the last timethe fluid beens changed? try thatfirst then go from there

 

i have no idea i bought the car like 5 months ago , but i will do that.

 

its always hard to get it into reverse and 1st gear. My tranny has been rebuilt and the fluid and everything and i still have trouble sometimes getting it into 1st and reverse

 

about 1 in 5 tries, my car doesnt go in reverse.. doesnt grind or anything.. its like there isnt even a gear there for it to slip into, but if i put it in first, moved ahead a few inches and try again, its no problem. try that one.

 

its normal for most trannys not to want to go into reverse without going into either 1st or 2nd. kinda some how like a safety feature
