i just got my a/c fixed and it was working and blowing cold. Then the next day it just stopped working bc the compressor wont come on. i have checked the fuses and there not the problem. Also i jumped the clutch switch too and checked to see if there is problem to the seitch and there is but when i jump it the compressor still wont come on. Also i checked the refrigreant too and its not the problem. Please Help its hot as crap in the south and i want to fix this.

 

Do you have a votage meter? Unplug the connection to the clutch and turn the A/C on (note, be careful around the belt with multimeter wires and fingers. You'll probably want to keep both). Is there 12 volts or better across the terminals. If there is, the clutch is your problem. If not, there is a problem somewhere in the power supply. Could be anything from a broken switch to a broken wire.
