Running regular prestone 50/50 radiator fluid. I have no idea, but I had fluid failure at 2 spots, that cap and the timing chain cover. Any ideas guys?

 

Did the temp go up at right before it popped? Sometimes freeze plugs just pop..

 

Couldn't tell you if it did or didn't half of my damn gauges don't work, including the temp gauge. Only thing that works is speed, tach, and battery level. The others are off/non working.

 

You need to get some more gauges put in with that thing running the KB. The temp would be a nice thing to keep an eye on.

 

Yea, no kidding. The temp "works" but it's off as in not reading correctly. I think whomever changed the facing to white face guages screwed up when putting the needles back on cause several of the guages have this problem.

 

Change your thermostat and radiator cap.... a must ANY time you spring a leak in the coolant system...... Just my 2 cents worth of advise...

 

Well thermostat is brand new, only has like 5000 miles on it.
