anyone used the hayden fan switch? and had problems

Can I assume you just finished the install and right after switch the key on and had smoke?

If so. I think you can take the fan out of the equation. The controller would need to see it's ON temperature before the fan is switched on so everything on the high current side of the circuit should not come into play yet.

How did you test for power at the ground wire?
