Gas Tank Hissing

Gas Tank Hissing
Recently my car has been haveing a few problems with the fuel system. I replaced the fuel filter which had some dirty *** gas in it, and it seemed to cure the problem. But i just got done driving around and now when i am behind a car i can hear a VERY loud hissing sound. I will try to explain the sound, it sounds like a disconnected vacum line, but it is coming from inside the tank? My fuel pump is also being very loud, and every told me it is ready to go. I am ready to drop the tank, but before i do i just wanted to know if there are any hoses inside of it known for disconnecting or leaking to make this sound? And when i shut the car off a noise, kind of like sqeeking breaks, starts to come from the gas tank. This thing is starting to worry me.

RE: Gas Tank Hissing
dude vent that tank asap. you probably pinched the one vaccum line. check that first. with a efi you build pressure if its not vented. and can balloon the tank. if you open your cap will you hear a pop or a sound like the walls of the tank just released themselves.

RE: Gas Tank Hissing
i have been venting it, thank goodness. I am going to drop the tank today, just wanted to know if there is a drain plug, or do i have to syphon the gas out [:'(]. i am going to replace the fuel pump while i am in there digging around (future nitrous).
