did you remove the pin that holds it in place? if so... get a screwdriver under there, and pry on it a bit

i have removed both hairpins, but the part itself is too big to manuever between the shaft it rides on and the frame or whatever the metal part next to it is (i havent removed the carpet but i know that metal part is welded on)

Get tough with it. Will not hurt shaft the rest, wth if tears up needs replacing anyway.

I got it off but i had to take my clutch cable-to-firewall holddown off and pry on the f*cker from the hole. BTW, has any1 here used the 50resto quadrant? it has 3 different settings that you can hook up your cable to and i have it on the middle setting right now and my pedal's got almost 2inches of free play. I dont think that even the farthest setting will help that much, however i do know that people sometimes use spacers on the pawl and quadrant shafts. My question is, will shimming the quadrant make a differance on the free play of my pedal?

If you got the whole kit adjust the end at the clutch, if not use the last one...
