Default 89 5.0 no start!! HELP!!

Ok everyone, I have been working on my 89 for about 3 years now completly redoing every part on the car. I have had the car running with a MSD (P.O.S) distributer that took a dive on me after the car sat for a few months. Then I put in my old ford distributer and the car fired right up and ran great. I again let that car sit with the battery off for another 2 or 3 months and now the samething has happened.

I have fuel, I have spark, but when I throw a timing light on #1 it only fires about once every second and a half when cranking. Any Ideas? TFI maybe gone bad?

Do a search, theres alot of recent posts on how to solve EFI no starts and some really good links on PIP and TFI testing.

You could, if you wanted take the TFI to a good autoparts store as they should be able to test it for you.

Any CEL codes? How exactly did you test for spark and fuel?
