Default T5 Knocking

Alright I rebuilt this t5 not 5k miles ago.....
When I have the clutch pedal pressed in the knock goes away, when I release it it continues to knock....when it is in gear it knocks.... I have a slow leak and I've always been feeding oil into it, i'm putting dex III into it from advanced auto parts...I dont think i've ever let it get too low on oil but idk.... any ideas?

oh and P.S. my throwout bearing has always made a slight noise when ever the clutch pedal is not pressed in.... the throwout bearing would not knock would it?

thanks for all your wisdom...

Pull the transmission take apart. Check input shaft clearances and input bearing. Bubba

I'd also inspect the throwout bearing, putting a load on it can often make noises go away

If its in neutral with the clutch pedal not pressed in it will knock....when I push the clutch in it will also slightly knock.... if I put the car in gear while sitting there it will not knock....

I know I'm going to have to pull the tranny just trying to see what I'm getting into...

thanks guys
