Post 3g alternator installation

I have A 84 5.0 and im taking my stock alternator out and replacing it with a 3g alternator. My question is if someone knows what existing wires i need to hook up and what color wire for my year cause my wires for my alternator are cut not clips like i beleive they were originally? Any information for my year and knowledge on the wiring would be very helpfull!

The best $25 dollars you can spend on your car is to buy a Haynes shop manual. In the rear of that book will be a semi complete diagram for all of your car's electrical systems. It will show you the colors for each wire. That book is filled with info you will need since more things will fail as your car gets older.

I cant think of the wires for the regulator (id have to go look) but for the charge-back wires there are 2 black with orange 10g wires. Then there is a wire trigger wire. Is suggest getting some bigger wire and hooking it up to the alt as a charge-back wire also.
