i have a 1989 gt that i purchased about a month ago and the wipers won't work. i installed a new wiper motor and relay but still no luck. power is getting to the motor as i have checked this with a volt meter. i also have tried to apply power directly to the motor, but i have had no luck with that... the wiper arms are not seized or stuck... i'm thinking that it may be the switch on the steering column, but i don't want to tear into that until i have to... i do know that the person i bought the car from had to replace the headlight switch and the speedometer and wipers have not worked since he did that. (and i will post a thread regarding the speedo in the near future, as i will need help with that) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, maybe i missed something? maybe i need to take that next step and rip apart the column...ugh!!

i had the same exact problem. it turned out to be the multifunctional switch in the column. exspensive, but it was the only solution. not really that hard to replace though. look at your local junkyards for another one, if not your lookin at $100+ for a new one.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm junkyard. Theres no such thing as a switch on a Mustang worth $100 bucks :/

i looked at 2 different Pull-A-Part's in NC and SC, and in my usual 4 junkyards i use and didnt find one. i ended up buyin one off of Ebay. lol, i was just reading about your project last night, what all has been done to your red GT?
