Battery light flickers AFTER re-wiring PICTURES
**I replaced the alternator 1 week ago and was running great until***.....
For the last 2 days I have been cleaning up my engine bay by running the wire harness along the strut towers into the fender wells. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be, however, my battery light flickers under electrical load (lights on, brights, break lights on) and idle surges when this happens.
the battery light starts flickering after about 10 seconds on electrical load. I can see the battery voltage meter drop and the idle begins to surge. If I rev the engine up to increase the alternators output, the light stays on and the rpms are very rough.
Through out the process I extended ONE wire on the driver side that merged into three others, being green, blue, and red. From these wires a black wire runs to the solenoid. (the attached picture is of those wires. mind you that this is under the fender well.)
PASSENGER SIDE I extended a group of wires in a loom that ran under the oil pan. Im not sure where they go but I think they go to the O2 sensors.
** Ive checked all the grounds. the wires were NOT soldered but were heat-shrunk with end connectors and corrosion resistant grease.
the pictures are not that great, sorry.

No solder...yet.
I actually found the problem; Ill post pictures up later. I actually cross connected the wires to the solenoid during the lengthening process.
Butt connectors and eye connectors SUCK. Aside from the actual problem they were a secondary problem. I just about lost it when I was driving and saw my autometer temp and oil pressure gauges went to zero from bad connectors. I would have killed my self if I lost oil pressure on my Dart block!!
I had a very hard time finding "good" connectors from the bad ones. They all slipped out rather easily and Im an idiot for thinking I didn't have to solder. Lesson learned.
