U-joints are easy to replace compared to pulling the tranny out. A vice of any size I think is a necessity. The U-joints that came with my Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft didn't last very long at all. I replaced them with Spicer U-joints, and so far they've lasted twice as long and they're still in good shape. Whatever brand you go with make sure that you mark the driveshaft and yokes on both sides and put it back together the same way you took it apart

If you way over tighten the clutch fork when you adjust the clutch it will burn up the throwout bearing.
