Replacing Odometer
I have a 94 Mustang GT and my odometer doesn't work. It's not the end of the world but I definitely want to replace it. Does anyone know how to do this and how much it'll cost? Do I need a new cluster? Thanks

As a DIY job, im not sure how to do it. they arent that hard to get to once the cluster is out, but to actually disassemble seemed quite annoying, that and getting any replacement parts would be difficult. this is mostly beacause of the legal issues. i tired monkeying around with my old cluster (broken tach and speedo) so i could learn how to adjust the mileage on the one i got from the junkyard. didn't find any good ways to do it.
the alternative is to find a shop the works on speedometers and such, it will probably run you about $100 depending on whats wrong.
also be ware of a-hole shops that want 300-400, i ran into a few of those.

If you have not repaired yet, try this for info. I just replaced my gears, and the instructions are accurate.
