Default BBK Fenderwell intake install Question

I just started installing a bbk fenderwell intake on my 92 GT 5.0. My car has
a tublar gt40 intake with a 70mm bbk throttle body. When installing the upper intake tube, the top section slides right into my throttle body, and the bend is hitting the strut tower. I am assuming that this is made for the stock throttle body, but if I clamp it down will it hold it in place? Or will any problems happen from this? Has anyone went through this before or offer any opinions?

Thanks.

just clamp it thats how its designed. You should be able to get it to not hit the strut tower brace if you leave all the clamps a little loose and adjust it then tighten it. I have a BBK strut tower brace with gt-40 tubular intake, BBK 70mm throttle body and BBK fenderwell cai and I have no probs.

It's been a few years but I remember trimming on of the pieces a bit for a better fit.
