Default header install

has anyone installed their own headers. i have heard that it is a pain. if so how long did it take. drivers side looks easy but the pass side is where it gets tricky. any tips? thankyou

depends on the headers you are installing. Shorties or long? you may need to lift the engine a couple inches to get them in there. be prepared in case you have a problem and cant drive it the next day. Mine took about 4 hours

i had mac long tubes, and macs are very famous for haveing fitment issues, so i dont really recommend you to buy macs. shorties are very easy to install. just like taking out the stocks but a lil bigger thats all. with air tools you can knock out the shorties in like 2 hours

yea i was going to get some bbk shorties.....BBK-15120 the question is should i get equal length or unequal length?

The equal length you will gain about 2 more hp then the unequal but the unequal are 2 times easier to put in your call on that one

If you going shorties, install will be simple. My L/T's took my cousin and I 3 hours. Make sure you get the Ceramic coating. Also pick up some Fel-pro header gaskets, locking header bolts, and some copper sealer. Just to make sure youll stay leak free.
