Default need a lil help

I got a 95 5.0 5-speed,on the passenger side coming off the top of exhaust manifold is a metal tube that goes up to EGR value.Problem I m having is the tube keeps braking now manifold and EGR are bolted down so theres no flexing going on.Someone told me it could be making to much back pressure. Any ideas ,or if it is back pressure what could cause it,car still runs as strong as the day i bought it ,no change in idle or engine sound.Im stumped and at 80 bucks a tube before I buy the third one Id like to try to figure this out. Thanks everybody.

I have removed my EGR stuff. I installed a stock 95GT engine in my 65. Where did you get the tube? If you bought it from one of the chain stores, it is probably a cheap import made with substandard metal. Either buy one from Ford, or remove the egr completely.
I doubt backpressure is the problem.

I had a friend who bought a new alternator from Autozone for his Ford truck. He got their best one with a warranty. It lasted 11 months. He had it replaced for free, THREE times over three years. He got tired of being stranded every 11 months so he bought an OEM alternator from ford and that was 3 years ago now. Still works fine. Moral of the story, buy parts from Ford, and oil and filters from Autozone.
