electrical problem
Hey guys got a 95 gt ended up doing some heads and headers and now my oil pressure gauge skyrockets and then the coolant temp sky rockets and today when i was driving it i smelt an electrical burn smell then the voltage went down then u push the gas it goes up any ideas on how to trace this problem down i think its a loose ground but i cant find it anywhere any help would be appreciated

Are you positive you put the head gasket on right? If not, your coolant passages are covered up, leading to overheating.
I suspect you have a short to ground. When you let it idle, the short is consuming more than what the alternator puts out, so your gauge reads lower. When you rev up the engine, this makes the alternator produce more amperage. You will just have to take each circuit one at a time and trace it to ground. One of those circuits will read continuity to ground when it should not.
Also, your post is difficult to decipher due to the lack of punctuation.

sorry man lol and yes i know the head gasket is on right i can put my hand on the upper radiator hose and hold it there even at operating temp i guess ill just have to do what you said about tracing one at a time

I bought a Haynes Shop Manual (at Autozone I think) that has a wiring diagram in the back. Very handy when I did my swap.
Since you can still hold that hose, I suspect your gauges are giving you bad data. Start there on your quest.
If you pull off the temp sender wire and ground it to the block, your gauge should peg maximum. Same with the oil sender.
