just look at the engine ID# on the side of the block. http://www.classicmustang.com/decoding_part_numbers.htm this site will show you what it means

not to be a smarta$$ but the 95-97 wasn't all 5.0 the only 5.0's with the newer bodystyle was the 94-95 the 96-98 was 4.6

guess what homie, explorers had the 5.0s so yes up to 2001 there was 5.0s
