I just got my engine rebuilt in my 95 GT and the distributor won't seat all the way. It always gets so close but won't go in fully. I don't have the car near me and I am not anywhere near a mechanic. I have a part time mechanic working on it for me for cheap and he's having a hard time. I was wondering if anyone had any wisdom that I could impart on this guy. I don't think he has the internet to look up solutions.

Everything is pretty much stock or a replacement equivalent.

Make sure the oil pump driveshaft is in correctly. When I changed mine I have to play with it for a minute to get the dizzy to seat.

Okay, he got it in, I'll post when I find out what his problem was and how he overcame it when I go to pick it up this weekend. I've missed this car for too long!
