Exclamation Please help!!!

Ok so I bought a 89' Ford Mustang LX Convertible 5.0L on Thursday night. Saturday I changed the oil, O2 sensors, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, and fuel filter. I drove it after finishing and seemed to be fine. Then my brother in-law came over so I took him for a ride and about 2 miles later, whenever I hit the gas it almost sounds like a "put, put, put" Only makes the noise when I am on the gas. Any ideas? Sounds great at idle.

5.0L
5 Speed T-5
BBK Headers
BBK Cold Air Intake
Flowmaster Exhaust

Thanks! Hope someone can help!

one of the plug wires is not on all the way, or you changed the firing order. also look for a burned wire on the headers if that doesnt do it.

but i bet you a cookie if you pull and push on all the wires... you'll hear a "snap" that you didn't get b4 and it'll be all good

Would that cookie be a ginger snap? Recheck firing order and make sure plug wires are fully seated.

Ok, checked all the plugs and wires again all were good and all were snapped in. However I did find 3 loose bolts on my driver side header. Tightened them down and now no sound!
Thanks
