Default Break Upgrade ???

I have an '87 GT and have been assembling pieces and parts do do a rear disc swap and move up to the 73 mm SVO units and SN95 spindles up front. I noticed that SSBC has a kit for $600 with two 38 mm piston calipers and 13 in rotors. Has anyone used this set-up? Any preference for the 73 mm SVO units?
Thanks!

Going to 5 lug I'm guessing? Get spindles/hubs and axles from a junkyard car for 1/3 the price. If you can find a cobra you can get the 13 inch front discs and twin piston calipers...

Same with the rear end, get 11.65" rear discs from a cobra or mach 1... or go with v6/gt calipers/rotors. Any 94+ car has 4 wheel discs...

You also need the brake booster and master cylinder... and an adjustable prop valve. You can opt to disable an sn-95 prop valve to work as a distribution block or use a T fitting for the front brakes and then run a line straight to the rear with the adjustable valve in it. You need the adjustable valve because a fox/sn-95 valve will not give you the proper brake bias. That's why they are disabled and used as just a distribution block.

Search conversion threads and I've explained the processes about 20x.

you cant use the 73mm calipers with the sn95 spindle, you can only use them for 87-93 stock mustang rotors

I opted to stay 4 lug so I purchased an SSBC rear disc conversion and their "big brake" front kit that included bigger rotors and calipers. Kit also included a new master cylinder. Everything bolted up and no proportioning valve was needed. I think the rear kit ran me around $650.

Did that kit also include some stainless steel bushings for the front calipers??
