I checked my oil prior to my oil change and when I drained it it seemed it was really low after drain. And when I added the oil and let it sit, I checked my dip stick and the stick showed it had double the oil in it, how is this possible when I drained it and now shows way full. I don't want it to over pressurize the engine.
+1 . i also did this the first time i changed the oil after buying my mustang. i still dont know why there needs to be 2 plugs , but there are lol
if you actually bothered to THINK about it. the subframe runs directly through the oil pan location, splitting it in half. the only way to get ALL of the oil out, is to pull both plugs.
that little thing called gravity... it keeps the oil from going OVER the hump for the subframe, and draining out the other drainplug
