starting issues

Default starting issues

i have a 92 lx 5.0 5 speed
i had it running and driving fine for the last couple weeks and last night i went to start it and it just makes a pop noise, batterys charged, starter doesnt do anything.
before i put a starter on it i was wondering if there was anything else that it could be?

did you try replacing the solenoid, or possibly the battery or starter cables, All very cheap under 20$ a piece. Its worth changing anyways to knock it off the list right? (im having sort of the same problem)

See if you have 12v down at the solenoid when you try to start it. If so check to see if you have 12v on the other side of the solenoid. If so you either have a bad ground (highly unlikely) or a bad starter motor. If you dont have 12v on both sides of the solenoid the solenoid may be bad. To check see if you have 12v to the small wire on the solenoid. If so bad solenoid. If you do not have 12v down there check the relay on the driver's fender apron. Once again check for 12v at all wires while trying to start it.

Although this is all correct, you didn't tell him when the 12v should be present at each post.
