I am having problems getting my T5 into gear. It is really hard to get the car into reverse or first even when it is not running. Sometimes I need to grab the shifter with two hands and go into 5th and then slam it into reverse, same with first gear. Once I get it into reverse I can go back and forth from 5th to reverse and its really smooth. I just replaced the clutch and it seems to be working fine. I just got the T5 from someone else so I do not know if it had this problem before the new clutch. I have adjusted the clutch in both directions and it hasnt made a difference. I do not have any kind of grinding when shifting. Any ideas?

Time for a rebuild. Luckily T5 transmissions are a dime a dozen. Yank it yourself and bring it to a trans shop. Should be dirt cheap.
