Belt squeal 95 5.0L
Just did the budget smog pump removal.
Now I have a belt squeal.
How much play should be in the belt....can a belt too tight squeal?
Its def not to loose.
it also seems to be running about an 1/8" back on waterpump pulley than it did before.
WTF?

Get some baby powder and throw it on your belt, I did it while car was running and it worked great, I put a smaller belt on my 89 coupe and that things is super tight and it doesn't squeal at all. try the baby powder.
