Default aod to c6 in my 89 5.0

my buddy gave me a small block c6 for 50 bucks so i want to install it in my stang to replace the blown aod. what will i have to do to get it running? i know that theres some fitting issues but it doesnt seem to hard. if someone knows what parts and tools i need please tell me. once its in though what would be a good gear ratio for the rear end? 3.73, 4.10, or something else?

only a c4 or t5... after 600 hp a powerglide

sell it or get your money back and get a c4 for the same price. c6's are heavy and very parasitic.

check it out a c4 is just as bad as an aod they will blow just as easy trust me i know and if you got your hands on a small block keep it they are hard to find im putting a c6 in my 1993 gt 5.0 its not that hard and you want to run 2.55 or 2.73 you have to make some mods but better then aod went through 3 of them and c4 is the ****ty version of a c6 c6 was build strong i put a shift kit in mine to

Why use a c6 trans when c4 transmissions are built bullet proof nowadays handling 1000 horsepower, are lighter than the c6, install easier with just minor grinding on the crossmember spot welds. The c6 you will have to customize the crossmember, driveshaft, exhaust and all that extra weight, it just dont make sense.
