Default Car is making popping noise only when accelerating in gear.

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here and have come from allfordmustangs.com because I couldn't get a definitive answer. Well here goes!!

First a list of my mods! Very recent, within the last 2 months.

Cold Air intake, 76mm c&l maf calibrated for 19's, 75mm tb and egr spacer, trick flow track heat upper and lower intake, stock fuel lines and injectors for the time being, trick flow twisted wedge heads, 1.6 comp cam roller rockers, trick flow push rods(forgot the length but about 1/2 inch longer than stock), trick flow stage 2 cam, stock pistons/bores/lifters, autolite racing plugs gapped to spec., msd wires, cap, stock distributor.... Uhm, thats all I can think of, if you need any other specs just ask me. Oh! I drive an 89 5.0 LX Hatchback tropical yellow paint with tan interior!

and here goes the story....

About a month ago at the track, ( a few weeks after the mods) I ran the car very hard, and ever since then, when I am in gear and accelerating, I hear and can feel a physical pop(in the gas pedal). I checked the accelerator line for any obvious kinks to make sure it wasnt something stupid but everything looked fine. When it does "pop" there is a massive loss of power until the popping stops then its back to its tire burning self.

I have checked for vacuum leaks which I have found none, the codes I pulled from the computer are as follows:

KOEO:67
KOER:21,42
M:29,41,91,96

I appreciate any and all help!! If you need anything else from my car please let me know, I really need to get this resolved before I start school!

I had a similar problem and the problem with mine was the timing was messed up and had to be fixed.

sounds like a MAF problem to me. A timing detonation "pop" would be pretty much all the time.
