Default Do I have a wrong MAF?

So I have concluded that I might have a wrong MAF. After a week of diagnosing and testing heres what I think Is my problem. please chime in on opinions. the current MAF that I have is a summitracing 75mm 24#cold air tune. since I have installed a V-3 and the kit makes you install the airfilter in the engine bay ( but with a cover, not air tight but covered) hence moving air intake from fender to inside engine bay. My question is does it even matter that the current MAF is for cold air( meaning fender mounted)? and now that the filter is actually outside wil it make a diff.

it wont make a damn bit of difference once you get the DYNO TUNE that the car is going to need

well according to c&l the diff from fender to direct is 15%

but from personal experience chasing gremlins i had a supercoupe maf cal'd for 36'ers with my 19 lb injectors and it made no diff when i corrected
