Default Instrument panel and AC **** light problem!!!!

So I was fixing my stereo because the left side of the speakers were not kicking out any sound...I fixed it and out the stereo back....

I was gonna go get gas and it was night time so I pushed the lights on...I was backing up and the backlight for the instrument panel turned off as well as the backlight for the AC....all the other lights work fine.....

I checked the fuse and found a burned out 10 fuse and I changed it. I checked all the fuses with my tester and the fuse I changed is not lighting up the tester! could it be that there is a short because of the stereo or could it be something else.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Wiring issues stink.. I think I'd have to undo everything you did that day or evening rather.. and see if the problem exist thereafter.

Was not a issue before radio work. Need to recheck what was done. Instrument lights are usually a 5 amp fuse.

so I decided to do some investigating! I took out the instrument panel bezel to see if maybe there was a loose wire.....nope....everything fine.....I checked the wiring on the stereo and everything is fine....I think I need to check behind the AC unit in the dash....

I am deciding to change the heater core too....
so why not kiil two birds with one stone....if i check behind the AC unit and everything is fine...then I am SOL....I stopped taking apart the dash cuz it got late and also one screw will not loosen up to save my life!!!! it's right above the trunk open button....i put WD40 and hopefully tomorrow it will be easier......any ideas let me know....thanks....

CRC Freeze Off. Bought some at NAPA, $7 with tax. This stuff is amazing. Used on heat shield bolts on import last Friday. Has lubricant and refrigerant. Follow directions.

so i managed to take off the screw above the trunk open button but there is a bolt that will not loosen up because it is stripped....there is a nut behind as well...it is located under the steering shaft and it is holding black metal panel in place.....any ideas????

Do you have compressed air? Use cutting wheel and remove head of bolt. No air, use large drill bit remove head. Drill out broken bolt rethread. I know, real pia. That's all I got.
