Factory Alarm 1995 GT
Anyone know who supplied the factory alarm for the 1995 GT? I'm having some trouble with it, and would like to find the manufacturer to check out the wiring diagram and if possible get the owners manual.
TIA.

when I pulled mine out, mine had a Ford stamp on it. But that doesn't mean yours is even still factory. It could have been installed at a dealership, but not necessarily by Ford, if that makes sense. If you bought it new from the dealership, then it's a Ford alarm. I think I might still have mine and the wiring codes. I'll check. What problems are you having? I might be able to give you a wiring code for your car's wires if I don't have the brain.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. It's got FORD stamped on all the components too. It behaves like a Code Alarm, but that may be my imagination. Really, I just need to know how the damn thing works. I also need a new LED Button for it as it has broken off. If I can continue using the FOB and the keyless entry, I'd be happy. But the alarm itself just doesnt want to let you ever start the car....if you know what I mean.

I couldn't find my factory alarm, I looked in the garage and I guess I threw it out. I think the color code is on the back of the brain if you can locate it under your dash. I will post your factory colors and what they mean, but you have to find what connects to your alarm and see what it means, if that makes sense. I'm pretty sure your factory alarm has a starter kill relay built in. That means that when the alarm is armed, the relay cuts off the connection for your starter wire. When the alarm is disarmed, it should allow the connection to be made. When the alarm was put in, your starter wire was cut and one end went into the relay and the other end is on the other side of the relay. Your relay is basically a switch. To bypass the starter kill relay, you can just reconnect your starter wire to one piece and take the relay out of the question. Here's a diagram. Let me know if this helps
ITEM COLOR POLARITY LOCATION
12volts yellow + steering column
Starter white/pink + steering column
Ignition tan/white + steering column
Power Lock pink/yellow either kick harness to rear
Power Unlock pink/green either kick harness to rear
Parking Lights brown + below drivers kick
Door Trigger blk/blue or gray + below drivers kick
Trunk/Hatch Pin black/pink + at trunk sw. or light
Trunk/Hatch Release purple/yellow + below drivers kick

Thanks for the effort....Do you remember how to reset the brain by chance? Swapped batteries and it's acting up. Thanks for the wiring info. If I can't get it to work right, I may bypass the ignition kill function.
