hp problem
I have an 88 vert with the 5.0L. I have installed an Edelbrock Performer cam, dbl roller timing set, BBK intake with 70 mm Throttle body, 24 lb injectors. I replaced all sensors in the engine with the exception of the MAP sensor. I put on new headers. It has all new wires, plugs, etc.. I did not remove the heads or do the bottome end. I removed the cats and smog pump and put a new x-pipe inIt starts and idles fine at 900rpm. It drives and feels good while you are giving it gas but if you try to maintain a steady speed it bucks and jerks. I took it the local speed shop thinking all the new stuff has freaked out the computer. they put it on the dyno and the best they could get was 130 RWHP, which is like 50 hp lower than stock. It starts easily and idles fine. It still has the bucking problem but no check engine lights. My next thing is I am going to run a compression check but does anyone have any ideas on what to look for check because this is too low....

Timing was set at 8 degrees BTDC on initial set and some tweaking was done through the distributor at the initial firing to smooth it out. Through the timing light, it is between 9 and 10 degrees on the markings so I don't think that is the problem. How do I calibrate the MAF for the injectors. I have plenty of fuel because it seems to run a little rich. I was just surprised at the RWHP numbers and the driveability problem. It starts without foot on gas and sounds healthy but those are sick numbers. Just trying ot figure out where to go from here but will probably pull the engine to do bottom end and better heads for better flow. Going to run a compression check this weekend just to see what it is across the board and go from there

yes, timing was set with spout removed. I use only motorcraft plugs, fuel pressure reads at 55 lbs and where can i find the right MAF? I need to get EEC1 code reader can do that at work tomorrow but didn't ahve any check engine lights pop up.
