ok so i have a 86 gt and i sprayed the throttle body out with carb cleaner. that was 2 weeks ago and now when it idles it idles at about 1,000 RPM before it idled at 800 and sometimes it randomly jumps to 1,200 and back down and then other times it goes back to 800. i think i messed up the idle sensor. can anyone confirm that for me?

 

possible. also possible that you deteriorated an already old gasket and created an intake leak.
