So everyone I am converting to a t5 trans from a auto trans. So this is how it goes I buy a t5 from a 1994 mustang v6 so i buy all the stuff to convert it to fit my 1989 mustang. Get ready to laugh I put the trans in and fill it up then deside to leave it on jack stands, next i turn the car on and run it through the gears and it works, so drop the car and the peddle is hard as hell so i cant figure out why. ummm no it won't unless you are terribly reckless with doing such, If I had a quarter for eveytime I have run a car on a lift to diagnose a prob, I'd have no reason for working, total misinformation at its finest!!!, you have another issue, either operator error in installation or a mismatch of parts.
I always check it on the jackstands to make sure the clutch is engaging/disengaging properly and make sure the trans shifts smoothly. Total misinformation.
