Default no heat

so I have an 89 foxbody and my heater doesnt blow very hot air it blows and i replaced the temostat but it still is not very hot no mist on the windshield and no water on the floor so im not sure if its the heater core but it just wont get very warm it also makes a gurgling sound the comes from the glove box any help please

The core is located behind that glovebox and it sounds like it has air in it, which is where your sound is coming from. Bleed that air by running the heater, then pulling the cap after shutting it down, then filling as required. You should eventually have heat after getting that air out.

PS, try not to get burned too badly when pulling that cap...

Gurgling noise, check to see if restrictor is still in inlet hose to heater core.

After shutting it down did you mean after shutting the car off or turning the heater off?

Back flush the heater core. I did this yesterday and I went from little heat to very good heat. Also check if the blend lever is moving.

also make sure your coolant is at the proper levels and after back flushing the heater core make sure to burp the coolant system.

If this does not work, you are looking at a long weekend changing that heater core.
