I have a 89' 5speed trans...when you put it in second it either grinds then pops out...or it pops out. it will stay in if I put it in really hard or slow and hard....how much would it cost it I took the trans to the shop...what would it run?

I dunno where ya from but around here any tranny shop gives free check ups and est prices for repairs etc. depending on how much they want if there if issues if ya only got a stock T5 tranny maybe go with a used aftermarket "Tremic" or something.

Have a check up done and see where you stand could be a cheap repair or a costly one. decent used tranny aftermarket like i mentioned above you should be able to get for $1000-1500 used or rebuilt Canadian price as I'm canadian eh lol...

i got my trans. rebuild for $300, but it broke again like 6 months later. uhhh, damn sincro's. just take it to a tranny shop, but ur looking at about $300-$500.

hey would it be worth it to rebuild the trans, the havem install a aluminum d/s, and the to finish it have them put 4.10s in the rear.

if i were u, id buy a brand new trans. you can put gears in yourself, its not hard.
