heres the problem with the trans. If you just drive normal. you have to jam it into 2nd gear. If you dont it will go in, but the teeth just barley touch and then it grinds and pops out.but I found a fix. If im coming to a stop, but I get there I downshift it to second. it will fix the problem, so that way I dont have to slam it into second.....to me it seems that the momentum of down shift will bring the gears close, so On the take off the trans works good and doesnt grind.....could it be that this is norma...or could I have an after market racing trans...any ideas? or hell do I need a rebuild

 

if you have an aftermarket shifter i would readjust the stops to make sure there set correctly, if not i would replace the slider in the tranny
