Default block id help

hey guys havent been on here in a long time.
i bought a 302 engine from a guy in town who told me it was our of an 88 stang. i get it home and look the casting numbers down by the starter and its e7te from what i can find that makes it an 87 truck block with a mustang topend on it i checked the firing order of the plugs that are on it and they are in correct order for a h.o. 5.0 so im at a lose for what the hell is going on with this engine. any help is appreciated

Ford used the E7 casting number for more than just one year. You have nothing to worry about. No changing crankshafts or anything needed.
