85SquareLight

I have a 85 GT. After running the headlights for 15 mins or so they start to flicker. I can play with the headlight switch and get them to come back on but only to go back out in a few seconds. The first 15 mins they do fine then I'm in the dark. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a wire is getting hot and not making good continuity. If you have a multimeter check the wiring for the headlights when they don't work.

Might also be the switch. I'd check the wires first, then look at replacing the switch if you can't find a problem there. Might not be too expensive. Also, I've read something about headlight problems being caused by operating the fog lights. Do you have them on when the problem comes up?

Mine does the same thing on my 88 after about 10-15 minutes of being on, still havent figured out why. Only thing I have found is there is a relay that gets overheated but its only supposed to overheat if you are running your fog lights and your headlights at the same time. I dont even run my fogs and it still does it. Post up if you find or figure out something please.
