assuming you have p heads then yes it would be ok with 600 springs and 1.6, but it would not be my 1st choice in cams..

what stall do you have ?

I'm pretty sure the the rear 4cyl springs are the same as a V8. The front ones are softer on the 4cyl. What size MAF do you have? You should be real close to 12's now like mentioned above.

I have a turbo setup in the works, as well as a boosted mod motor for 2 of my projects.

Your setup is relatively mild so yes you could find a turbo kit, but there are some things you need to upgrade before jumping at one of them, and to be brutally honest alot more seat time and knowledgeable about cars motors and turbos...

he shouldn't need any fi just to hit a 12. Not that I've spent a lot of time at the track but depending on his stall if he has slicks and how fresh the motor is I would think he would be really close to 12s now or in them from the set ups and times I've seen.
to the op. go and get a baseline so you can work from there. With an auto you shouldn't need much seat time to get it down and slicks will definitely help. With slicks though torque boxes would be a good idea if you didn't want to rip them out.
