I have a 80mm maf on and I bought a 90mm. The guy I bought it from said it was already calibrated for 30lb and that's what I have. I installed it and when i step on the gas it bocks and pops but its still drive able. Don't understand why its doing that it was running fine before. Does any body know what could be wrong, do I have to do anything with the timing.

What engine mods do you have to merit a 90mm MAF and 30lbs injectors? Might be too much.

ive never seen a calibrated 30# maf, I think youve been had.

Pony"Well its a 306 with a x542 cam, vortech charger edelbrock heads, 30lb injectors,80mm maf. I just bought a 90mm maf from a lightning with the connection for a mustang. So that's what the guy told me.

According to what I have is 80mm good. Should i try to make the 90mm work or should I just stay with the 80mm

the LMAF will not work with the 30# injectors without a custom dyno tune.
The LMAF is also NOT good to be used as a blow through design, so keep that in mind when building your setup.

also, 30# injectors will be a bit small for your combo.

Is there any way to test a maf, not that im going to keep it but the guy said that it does work and he wont take it back unless it don't work. Just want to make sure it works so I wont sale something that don't work.
