I am looking at aftermarket intake manifolds for my 95GT 5.0L and have a newbie question about the elbows. For manifolds for Fox body 5.0 are they all acceptable for use on the SN95? The only elbows I have found have been from Professional Products and Edelbrock. Do those work with the GT40's, Trick Flow's, and Holley Systemax? What about the EGR fittings, are they all EGR compatible? I have read the Explorer GT40 intake are EGR or non EGR but someone told me it can go through the throttle body or the intake fittings, is that correct?

Do not get a professional products. I bought one and only 3 of the bolt holes aligned on the throttle body side. I sent it back and got a edelbrock because it is 70mm and that is what my intake opening is. The trick flow elbow is 75mm. The egr valve bolts to the elbow so they are all egr compatible. All of the elbows will interchangeable. The elbow is just a adapter from a fox body style throttle body to a sn95 style throttle body so a edelbrock elbow will work on a trickflow or holley intake. I recommend matching the elbow size to the opening on your intake. Depending on your intake and headers you may need to get one of these. Professional Products makes a egr spacer and its like $10 but I could not find it on summits site. The spacer extends the egr pipe to make it longer to reach the intake.

True all 5.0 intakes are interchangeable the tfs is the only elbow that is 75mm.
