Tell you what I would do.Iwuld change my oil and see where the level is. That is how much oil you have lost since the last oil change. You can make a guesstimate of miles. Also remember oil burns. If you pull the stick and throw a lighter to it, you should be able to tell in a few seconds if it is oil or water. Personally, I would be afraid of the motor without pulling the heads and checking the deck. Look for where the gasket is blown across the cylinders and check the block for low spots in those areas. If the block has to be decked, you are about to spend some money for a fix. Thence the reason I say to go buy a good motor with warranty at a junkyard.
