inertia switch

Default inertia switch

i am looking for the location of the fuel cutoff inertia switch on my 1990 gt. i read somwhere that it is in the middle back of the hatchback but i cannot find it there.

You have to pull back the plastic around ur taillights on the interior.

I have an 88 gt and there was a black plug on the back plastic of the hatch. Just had to pop the plug out reach in with a finger and press it back down. Drivers side i believe

yup drivers side... my '90 GT i had to remove the panel

notches are in the trunk and right there... +1 more reason to have a notch !

Besides the switch, you can also relieve pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail, if you have a fuel pressure gauge.
