Default Air Restricter

ok, im low on money (im 17 and no job lol) and i was going to buy a cheap cai for like $60 off ebay, but now i think i am just going to buy a helmet which is about $60 and race at our local 1/8th mile. i figure if i help them out, i get a free race pass so wth, ill race and if i screw up its not too big of a deal, its free. so i wondering if talking off the restricter box does any little ammount possible. also how do you do it? the filter is one of those flat ones, so would i have to buy a cone one that clamps on? thanks.

Don't get a cone filter, remove your air silencer, and add a K&N panel filter.
